Doctor, doctor, give me the news

I think I forgot to tell y'all that Reese is getting her tonsils and adenoids out on December 2nd.  We got a second opinion from another pediatric ENT and they said the same thing.  It sounds like it will be a pretty rough recovery - she has to stay in the hospital overnight because the first 24 hours are the most difficult.  The trick is to keep her hydrated, even though she won't feel like drinking since her throat will be killing her.  FUN!!  I really hope we are getting all our major medical drama finished with before 2015.  I am over sick kids, doctor visits, hacking coughs, yucky medicine, sleepless nights, etc, etc, etc!!!

Speaking of doctors, Reese's bestie Giada came over and brought her doctor kit with her.  They had a blast taking turns giving check-ups.  My favorite is Reese insisting the thermometer should go up the nose to check for "boogies."

Cover your ears for this video - two squealing girls!!

In other news, today is Drake's BIRTHDAY!!!  Can't believe this munchkin is 2 years old!!  Love my cute, sweet boy.  We will celebrate his birthday tomorrow or this weekend.  I'll post a birthday blog next week.  Here he is playing with a gift from Giada.

Here he is eating Daddy's chicken noodle soup.  Yummy!!!

The big news keeps on coming.  Stella went poop on the potty.  Her reward?  A stuffed pig.

Seriously, I should change the name of this post to BIG NEWS.  KK set the date for her wedding and officially invited our kiddos to join in the fun.  Check out these absolutely adorable announcements.

Seriously, is that not the cutest thing????

Pictures

Reese and I went out to lunch on Saturday while KK stayed home with Drake and Stella.  (Wes was in Baton Rouge for the LSU game.)

This is officially our favorite chair to jump/climb/roll/wiggle on.

Outside examining rocks.

Little lady.

Reese removing a "witch" from my foot.  Witch=splinter.  Reese had a splinter recently and she is now very concerned about the rest of us getting witches.

Three cutie pies.

Reesie Time

Reese is the epitome of that famous nursery rhyme -

There was a little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead;
When she was good, she was very, very good,
And when she was bad, she was horrid.

When she's being good, she is the sweetest, cuddly, loving, hilarious munchkin.  And when she's bad, OH MY GOODNESS!  Here are some of her sweeter moments.  She is trying to teach Drake to use his manners.

And here she is giving me kisses. I could not stop laughing - she was giving these long, dramatic
smooches.

She talks about Santa every day.  I was talking to Jill in the car yesterday and Reese asked if I was talking to Santa.  I said yes, so she asked to speak to him.  I put Jill on speaker phone and she did her best Santa impression.  The conversation went something like this:

Reese:  Hi Santa.
Santa:  Hi Reese.
Reese:  I'm Reese and I'm in the car and are you making my Elsa doll?
Santa:  I'm going to start your Elsa doll today or tomorrow.
Reese:  Oh, gidsn dksofiew sldihj asdihg costume.
Santa:  Oh?  Are you being a good listener?
Reese:  She looks at me and quietly says "yes."
Santa:  And are you being sweet to your brother and sister?
Reese:  Stella sister, Drake brother, yes.
Santa:  OK.  Keep being a good girl.
Reese:  Bye Santa!

Here is me asking her about it later.

I have a video of Reese crying and throwing a fit but I think I'll spare her the embarrassment.  I have a feeling she gets her sass from her momma (who, me?) and this is payback for all my naughtiness growing up.

Playing on the couch!

This game of "roll the ball" lasted 30 seconds before the screaming started.  Sharing is HARD!

Reese had her friend Giada over for a play date.  So cute to watch these two in action.

And one last cute Reese'ism.  We were in the car yesterday driving around and Reese was actually quiet for a few minutes.  And I was thinking about Stella and her medication and feeling a little down.  Out of nowhere, Reese asked me, "You happy, mommy?"  I smiled and thought of all the things I have to be thankful for and answered, "Yes, Reese.  I'm happy."  She waited a few seconds, then asked, "You got freckles, Mommy?"  "Yes, Reesie I have freckles."  Love that girl.

Trick or Treat!!

Guess what Reese wanted to be for Halloween? Give up??? ELSA!!!! Luckily, we had three Elsa dresses to choose from so that was super easy! Drake rocked his LSU gear and looks pretty darn cute. Kinda like his daddy!  And poor Stella never made it into her costume - she wasn't feeling well so she was in bed by 5:00, poor thing.  Here are our pics!

This picture brings back memories - laying out the loot and trying to decide what to eat first!!!

I had an extra costume that Reese sported during the day.

On Saturday, Reese and I went to the Thinkery, Austin's Children's Museum, for our friend Cade's birthday party.

The kids made their own rocket ships.

Then they put it on the launch-pad...

and up it went!

The whole group...

Princess Reesie-cup.

Then we headed to the market so Reese could buy groceries and make soup, like her Daddy.

Her FAVORITE part of the museum was the water room.  Luckily, it was the last room we visited because she got soaked!!

As you can see, she's feeling much better.  Drake is on his final day of this nasty cold and Stella is right in the middle of it.  Just a few more days of snotty noses, I hope.
